Mrs. June E. Schwietering, 87, of South Buffalo Twp. passed away at 3:55 am, Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 while in the company of family members at Fair Winds Manor, Sarver, PA.

June was born in Josephine, PA on June 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Elmer and Vera (Dalstrom) Goughenour. She was the widow of Earl R. Schwietering who passed in 2000.

She work as a cook at the Freeport Area High School for many years. She was a member of Srader Grove United Presbyterian in South Buffalo Twp. June was a past Den Mother with the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed craft work, sewing and being with her family.

She is survived by 2 daughters; Linda (Thomas) Windows of South Buffalo Twp. and Brenda (Art) Hackett of Wyomissing, PA; 2 sisters Betty (John) Rassau of Natrona Heights and Pat Shaw of Franklin, PA. 2 Grandchildren; Michael (Sara) Windows and Jodi (Jeff) Bichsel.
2 great-grandchildren; Emma and Hannah Windows. She is preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Sam and Elwood Goughenour. 2 sisters, Ellen Soloman and Lucile Sarver

Family and friends are being received on Friday Dec. 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport

A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 18th, with Lay Pastor, Robert Hindman officiating. Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery Freeport, PA.
