Mrs. G. Marcella Stokes, 82, of Richmond, KY., passed away at 10:50 PM, Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 peacefully at Richmond Health and Rehab Complex-Kenwood Formerly of South Buffalo Twp. Mrs. Stokes moved to Florida to live with her daughter in 1998. She then moved to Kentucky with her son in 2005. Mrs. Stokes was born in Ford Cliff, PA on March 4, 1926, the daughter of the late John M. and Mable (Hill) Bable. She was the widow of Floyd O. Stokes who past away in 1982She was a past member of Srader Grove United Presbyterian in South Buffalo Twp.Mrs. Stokes volunteered for many years at Armstrong Co. Memorial Hospital. She and her husband enjoyed going on fishing rips to Canada. She had also travel to Mt. Rushmore and Grand Canyon. She enjoyed sewing, doing latch hook, plastic canvas, cross stitching and gardening. Marcella is survived by her son, Allen F. (Linda) Stokes of Richmond, K and her daughter Marsha F. (John) Spooner of Royal Palm Beach, FL. 4 grandchildren; Michael Roberts (Dana) Stokes of Clovis, CA. Nikki Steiner of Richmond,KY. Kenneth (Darcy) Kamerer of Columbus, OH and Erin (Larry) Claypool of South Buffalo Twp. She had 9 great-grandchildren. 2 brothers; John Wendell (Peggy) Bable of Butler and Lee Otis Bable of ButlerFamily and friends are being received on Friday April 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 High St. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th, with Student Pastor, Derek Campbell officiating.
