Please accept my condolences in your loss. Cheryl was a member of a special group of kids who grew up on Franklin St. during the 50’s and 60’s. Some older, some younger, we all hiked that hill back and forth to school and were all friends with and looked out for one another. Franklin St. kids were like family, and I feel like a part of our family is gone. Gone too soon! I have fond memories of Cheryl and the wonderful Brant family that she was a part of. Rest in God’s eternal peace, Cheryl.
Sincerely,
Paul White

Deepest sympathies to Cheryl’s family. She was a former high school student many years ago. She was a friend to many then, lit up the room with her smile, and was a joy to have in the classroom. I am sure she will be missed by her family and many friends today. God Bless! 🕊🙏🏻

Lauren’s family and friends cannot express the gratitude we feel for how she took our Lauren not only under her wing but into her heart! I believe my friend Carol welcomed her with open arms. I remember Mrs. Demek as my Girl Scout leader in elementary school. She fostered so many friendships and planned lots of fun activities for us, from our weekly meetings at Winfield Elementary to trips to Skymeadow, NYC, and Virginia Beach. Several of us went on to earn our Gold Awards in high school. I never would have stayed in scouting if it weren’t for the wonderful experiences she provided. My thoughts and sympathies are with the Demek family.

darkness is mentioned together with “the authority of Satan.” Satan exercised his authority by influencing human agents to carry out the works of darkness that led to the execution of Jesus.
