We are shocked to hear of Joe's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Joe at Thrift Drug many years ago. Joe was such a character; full of life and humor. Joe was also a very dedicated and loyal employee. He is one in a million and will truly leave a void in many people's lives. May God Bless his family and close friends who will miss him dearly.

I remember shortly after Nancy and I were first married we lived in Freport on Market Street. We use to love sitting on the bench down by the river. One night while Nancy was boiling hard boiled eggs and we wanted to go sit down by the river, instead of turning them off she turned them up a little higher to get them done quicker. She forgot all about them when we went down and sat on the bech down by the river. Not more than 5 minutes went by that our down stairs neighbor (we lived in an apartment, second floor) came running down. Both of our eyes lit up as we realized what we had done. No fire but smoke filled the apartment. The Freeport Fire Company showed up and lo and behold Joe was with them. He teased me at work the rest of the year but now it is a funny story. He provided a blower to clear out the smoke. One thing I would love to have from Joe was his sense of humor. When ever someone from work was feeling down he would lift their spirits through his sense of humor and encouragement (one of his gifts). He was one at work that I looked up to. Although we all were busy at times at work he gave of himself outside of work serving our Lord. We can only aspire to be more like him.

"Let not your heart be troubled.. I go to prepare a place for you..that where I am, there ye may be also.

I pray that God will give you eyes to see beyond the clouds of earth into the glory of heaven, and the peace that comes from knowing that the one love is there in His arms. In Deepest Sympathy for Your Sorrow.

PS. Joe, Save me a seat!

We were so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. We will remember that warm smile. Many years ago our daughter went Christmas shopping with Joe and Jeff Lowers and they ended up at our house to wrap their gifts. More laughing than wrapping went on that night. We also have an early painting of Joe's that he gave us of our camp, in the Warren County forest, that he did by memory after being their with our son to deer hunt. He will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family.

Joey had been to visit my parents, Bill & Lois Gallino, several times in the past year to ask about my Dad and his Dad's time in the Navy...they enjoyed his visits a great deal. May God wrap His loving arms tightly around you all as you walk this path of grieving.
