Matthew 25:21

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

For 30 years I would visit Dr. Furer for my eye appointments. It was evident that he was a very caring man who loved his family, loved life, and loved the Lord.

He will be greatly missed.

To his family, friends and colleagues, you have my deepest sympathy.

I am saddened beyond words to learn of Dr. Furer's passing. He cared for our family for many years and was a trusted, dedicated and appreciated professional. Dr. Furer always took a personal interest in his patients and had a ready smile every time we visited his office, even giving us his cell phone number in case we needed him. Thank you, Dr. Furer, for your wonderful care. We will truly miss you!

"Pappy Cecil" touched so many lives! We feel so fortunate that he was a part of ours, and we are especially grateful that he was such a large part of our childrens' lives. They loved him like he was their own Pappy. They will miss him, we will miss him. We pray that you will find strength and comfort in the loving arms of God as you deal with his passing.

Several years ago our son had an eye infection.Dr.Furer gave us his home and cell numbers to call him. We did not; he called us to check on our son! Many are called but few are chosen. Save a dance with our Savior for me!

Diane and family,

I just heard a few days ago that Dr. Furer was not doing well, i am so sorry to hear of his passing...you all can be proud of his accomplishments, and his love for his family. Having worked for him, he made sure his staff was well educated in the optical field, the education I received at the Eye Care Center of Leechburg, will stay with me forever. All the trips to educate us on frames, lenses, and being the best optician we could be to better serve the patient. My best optical experience was with Dr. Furer. Our sympathy to Janet and her children and grandchildren, Dr. Furer's mother, and to you Diane and your family. With our deepest sympathy, Shirley and Luke...Lucchino

I was fortunate to meet Cecil when he served as Assistant Table Leader at the Table of Mark duing my Emmaus Walk #51. Cecil was relatively quiet during our Table discussions which was expected, but I found him to be a very solid, caring, and very involved Christian man.
