Mrs. Coleen R. Klingensmith, 64, of Tarentum, passed away at 4:15 PM, Thursday, March 18th, 2010 while in the company of family members at Harmar Village Care Center, Cheswick, PA.

Coleen was born in Bagdad, PA on June 30, 1945, the daughter of the late Grant and Dorothy (Myers) Hines.

She was employed as a office manager for Carl Garrett and Sons Inc. in Tarentum and for John's Heating and Air in Freeport. She had worked in the HVAC industry for 36 years retiring in 2007.

Coleen enjoyed collecting all kinds of giraffe figurines. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and was a Super Steeler Fan!

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Larry S. Klingensmith. 2 daughters Michelle Hancock of Fawn Twp. and Catherine Henkle of Brackenridge. A step daughter Eldaree Meyer of Lower Burrell; 3 sisters Phyllis Grafton of Freeport. Marge (Thomas) McGuire of Warren, OH.
Phyllis Walters of Natrona Heights. 4 grandchildren; Lindsey Henkle of Brackenridge, Brittany and Dylan Meyer of Lower Burrell and Laurel Thomm of Lower Burrell.

Coleen is preceded in death by her sister Loretta Hunsburger and her brother Dick Hines.

Family and friends are being received on Monday March 22st. from 6-8 p.m.. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport, PA

A Funeral Service will be held at in the funeral home at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 23nd, with Rev. Edd Myers of Freeport United Methodist Church. officiating.

Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery Freeport, PA.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tarentum Community Library Tarentum, PA 15084
