Mrs. Brenda L. Albaugh, 59, of Freeport, passed away at 7:10 PM, Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 while in the company of family members at Allegheny Valley Hospital.
Brenda was born in Freeport, on March 24, 1950, the daughter of the late John E. and Ivy June (Metzler) Howard. She was a member of Freeport United Methodist Church Freeport, PA 16229. Brenda was a past member of the Freeport E.M.T.s. and the Freeport V.F.D. Ladies Aux. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, gambling and being with her grandchildren.
She had worked in the nursing field for over 20 years. Her last position was as an L.P.N. at Medi Home Hospice in Leechburg.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jerry L. Albaugh. Her son Jared (Hope) Albaugh of Freeport and her two grandchildren, Jennifer and John Albaugh. 3 brothers; George E. (Helen) Howard of Scranton, AR; Dennis F. (Karen) Howard of North Port, FL and Terry R. (Kathy) Howard. She is also survived by her life long friend Liz (Ed) Myers of Kittanning. She is preceded in death by her infant brother, James Howard.
Family and friends are being received on Friday October 23rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 254 High St. Freeport, PA. At the wish of Mrs. Albaugh there will be a private family funeral service held on Saturday at Freeport United Methodist Church. Brenda will be buried along side her mother in Freeport Cemetery Freeport, PA.
