Charlotte (Young) Colledge

To our friend and fellow "Putney Laner" Danny's family,

Way back "when" we three sisters, Judy, Jan, and I, and our brother, Chip,.....and "Schrec" were still in school, wehad our own little private joke having to do with Chicken Noodle Soup. Every time we asked "Schrec" what he had for breakfast, lunch or dinner, his answer wasALWAYS "Chittin Noodle Soup"!! Many, many years later, as we adult Youngs "kids" were standing on our front porch on Putney Lane waiting for the Memorial Day parade to pass our house, Danny saw us from the back seat of the convertible in which he was riding as a VIP and yelled out, "CHITTIN NOODLE SOUP!" We will truly miss our "Chittin Noodle Soup" buddy but thoughts of him will forevermore bring a smile to each of us. Our heartfelt condolences to all of you from all of us in the Young family.

Sincerely, Charlotte

Paul E. White

My sympathy from another Franklin St. (Putney Lane) family member. Schrec was one of a kind! Always the prankster, he loved a good laugh as he pulled one over on someone. I will remember that laugh and his quick smile.

Schrec was a well respected police officer in Freeport because he was a "Freeport Son."

Rest in peace, Danny. Thank you for your service to our country and to Freeport Borough.

Sincerely,

Paul E. White
