Mrs. Isabel "Isie" Beckett, 88, of South Buffalo Twp., passed away at 4:40 AM, Friday, October 17th, 2008 while in the company of family members at Armstrong Co. Memorial Hospital, Kittanning.Isabel was born in Butler, PA on March 14, 1920, the daughter of the late James and Frances (Claypool) Rayburn. She was the widow of Wilbur M. Beckett who passed away in 2001.She was a homemaker and lifetime member of Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church Freeport, PA 16229. Isie was a member of the Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church Women's Assoc. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking,gardening and working on the family farm. sabel is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. husband of George Kepple of Hereford, AZ; 2 sons; Jeffrey A. Beckett of South Buffalo Twp. and Michael S. husband of Linda Beckett of Fort Walton Beach, FL. She is also survived by her 6 grand and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother James Rayburn.Family and Friends are invited to call Sunday 12-2 and 5-7 pm. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport, PA.A funeral service will be held at the Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church, Freeport, PA, at 10:00 am on Monday, October 20th, with Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial service will be held in the Slate Lick Cemetery Freeport, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church 106 Brown Rd.
