Steve and Shari Morgante and sons

Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. Velvete's death is a loss for the whole community. She taught our oldest son speech therapy when he was only 4 years old, and she made such a difference in our whole family's life; more than we can say. Velvete will always have a special place in our hearts. Like others have said, she had a face like an angel and her smile was contagious. I often said to her that her name fit her perfectly because her voice and demeanor were soft like velvet. She always greeted people with a smile and had a calming effect. She will truly be missed.

Stacey, Steve & Zachary Cochran

We are so sorry for your loss. Velvete was a wonderful, kind and caring speech teacher for our son. She taught speech in a way that made our son have fun. He enjoyed getting a "treat" at the end of his session.

Jay, Tammi, Nathan, & Sydney Pastorek

Jim, you have our deepest sympathy on the passing of your wife, Velvete. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and the girls. If you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask. I will pray that God gives you the strength to move forward during this difficult time. God bless you all.

Her Smile, It Did Tell

I did not know her well,

But her smile, it did tell

Of the wonders in her life

And the beauty that she emanated.

Wife and mother

Friend, sister, daughter.

Sweet was she,

Caring oh so gracefully.

I did not know her well,

But her smile, it did tell

Of the happiness she displayed

And the kindness she conveyed.

Beautiful, sparkling eyes

Caring smile and cheerfulness.

Radiating warmth,

Her life testament is the enduring gift.

I did not know her well,

But her smile, it did tell

Of her gentle ways

And her compassionate nature.

Her fervent love for her girls

Was easy for all to see.

Her involvement in their lives

Leaves a beloved legacy.

I did not know her well,

But her smile, it did tell

Of happy times spent

And now the memories - they remain.

Godspeed, dear one. Godspeed.

Jim's 2007 10U Softball Team

Miss Velvete--we will all miss you and the sidelines and dugout will not be the same. From your reminding the umpires of where the strike zone is to your encouraging words for each of us. Even your "strategizing" with Mrs. Roenigk--which all knew was gossiping. And of course that excuse at practice that you could not play the feild because you were a lefty and had no glove. You will be greatly missed but ALWAYS in our hearts and memory.

Judy & John Ifft

Jim, Madison and Payton,

So sorry to hear of your loss. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Judy & John Ifft (Lynne's mother and father)

I had the priviledge of meeting Velvete during my duaghter's 4 years of Dance with Lisa Marie's School of Dance. Cailin and Payton danced together during those few years. Velvete had a smile that could light up a room and a face of an angel. I didn't know her long but she has forever left a lasting impression. May God bless her and the rest of the Steinkirchner family during this difficult time.

We had the honor of knowing Velvete through both of our sons while she was their speech teacher. We were very fond of her and had great admiration, respect, and appreciation for the work that she did for so many children. She was a fabulous teacher and a great person. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Denise Demich Krivokuca

My deepest sympathies to your family. Velvete and I were best friends in 5th grade when we were at Elderton. I have many happy childhood memories of sleepovers and riding horses - although Velvete was a little leary about the horseriding part. We went on to be cheerleaders together and graduate from Elderton. She always had a beautiful smile and was a warm, sweet person. My prayers are with you.

Missy and Jim Libengood and sons
