Mr. John V. Bender, 60, of Sarver, passed away at 12:42 PM, Saturday, September 15th, 2007 suddenly at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison Twp., PA.Mr. Bender was born in Toledo, OH on November 8, 1946, the son of the late Karl V. and Dorothea J. (Thiesen) Bender.John worked for NUMAC in Apollo PA after graduating from Bowling Green with a bachelors of science degree in chemistry. He was then was drafted in to the US Airforce during the the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Precision Photo Processor. His duty was to decipher aerial photos of the enemy's locations, equipment, and soldier amounts. After the war he went back to work for NUMAC for a number of years. Then he took a job as a Technical Support Specialist at Brinkmann Instrument Co. of Westbury, NY. He has worked out of his home for Brinkmann for the past 28 years John enjoyed woodworking, traveling, hunting, fishing and restoring old cars. Mr. Bender is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jeanne A. (Waggoner) Bender. 39. His son, Brian Bender of Elkland, PA. His bother: Raymond Bender of Toledo, OH.Family and friends are being received on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 High St. Freeport, PA A funeral service will be held at in the funeral home at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 19th, with Rev.
