Mr. William F. Smith, 73, of Buffalo Twp.. , passed away at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 6th, 2007 at Sunnyview Home, Butler, PA.Mr. Smith was born in Sarver, PA on July 14, 1933, the son of the late Philip and Twilla (Songer) Smith.He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport, PA He served in the U.S. Army as a medic stationed in England. He woked at PPG for 14 years and he also was a truck driver for Don Martin and Holbein Inc. for 3 years.He was a past member of Sarver Vets.Mr. Smith enjoyed hunting, fishing, euchre at Palko's, reading, and NY Times crossword puzzles. He is survived by his wife, Carol Marlene (Spencer) Smith.Also surviving are 1 daughter, Barbara (Charles) Skillen of New Kensington, PA.,3 sons, Berry(Cindy)Smith of Winfield Twp.., Kenneth(Kimberly)Smith of Buffalo Twp.., and Ronald (Judy)Smith of Lower Burrel, PA, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.Family and friends are being received on Monday, July 9, 2007 from 5until 7 PM the hour of service at Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport.Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at Sarverville Cemetery.Pastor Jeff Youell officiating.
