Dean W. Strobel, 75, of Buffalo Twp. passed away on Friday, March 18th, 2016 while in the company of family members, at Benbrook Hospice Facility in VA Medical Center, Butler. Dean was born in Herman, PA on December 17, 1940 He was the son of the late Lauretta (Kiser) and Glenn Strobel. Dean owned and operated New Ken Generator Service in New Kensigton for 43 years. He retired in 2014. Dean had also work for a number of years at W.L. Roenigk in Sarver as a van driver. He was a member of Emory Chapel Church in Sarver. Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and just going for walks in the woods. He was an amateur pilot who always enjoyed flying his plane. In his younger years, he and his wife rode their Honda Goldwing all over the United States and into parts of Canada. Dean was a workaholic but loved to take time out for his family. Dean is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lori J. (Benn) Strobel. Two sons; Joseph & Karen Kozma, of Buffalo Twp., Mark & Cheryl Kozma, of Buffalo Twp. and 6 grand & 8 great grandchildren.  Dean also has 4 children from 2 prior marriages.  He is also survived by his 2 sisters; Marie (Don) Spohn of South Buffalo Twp., Carol (Alan) Yost of Portersville and his brother, Paul (Twila) Strobel of Winfield Twp. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his brother, Dale Strobel. Family and friends will be received on Monday March 21st from 4-7 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport, PA 16229. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation at 7:00 pm on Monday with Pastor Mary Jo Gould officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emory Chapel Church PA Route 228, PO Box 136 Sarver, PA 16055

To all my family, close and distant. I will always remember Dean's Laugh. He would always light up the dinning room on the holiday dinners we would share at grandma's and pop-pop's (Mary and Dale's). You are all in my thoughts.
