John E. Ciesielski, 74, of South Buffalo Twp., formerly of New Kensington, passed away on Saturday, January 9th, while in the company of family members, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. John was born in New Kensington on December 15, 1941, a son of the late Anna (Listwak) and Edward Ciesielski. John was a 1963 graduate of Slippery Rock University where he was a 4 year letterman in Football. He received his masters of Education from West Virginia University in 1967. He was a math teacher at Woodland Hills for 30 years retiring in 1993. John also coached football at Woodland Hills and Plum High School. He was the owner and operator of Jolar Galleries Antique Store and Jolar Armory in New Kensington for over 30 years. John enjoyed his farm, (especially his ginny hens and his goat) hunting, fishing, traveling and antiquing. 
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie (McGregor) Ciesielski; daughter Laura (Chuck) Ankeny, of Longmont, CO; son John (Mary) Ciesielski, Jr., of Irmo, SC; granddaughter Emma Ciesielski; and grandsons Zennon & Matthew Baun. 
Family and friends will be received on Friday January 15th from 2 p.m. until services at 4 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. with Rev. Mark Davis of Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church officiating. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley 533 Linden Ave New Kensington, PA 15068 or to a charity of one's choice.
