Linda T. Coward, 99, of the Laneville section Freeport, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at her home. Linda was born July 6, 1917, in Salina, the daughter of the late Mary (Pasciutti) and Bernard Trombetta. Linda was the widow of George W. Coward, who passed in 2000. Linda worked for many years in quality control as a "taster" for Schenley Distillery. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport. Linda is survived by her nephew, John Astoli, with whom she lived. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. Committal service will be held at 1 p.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery, Freeport.
