Phyllis Kay Artman, 78 of Roswell GA passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Wed. Nov 30, 2016 at Atria North Point Assisted Living in Alpharetta, GA. Phyllis was a long time resident of Sarver, PA. Phyllis was born in Eau Claire, PA on June 5, 1938. She is the daughter of the late Paul L. & Ethel M (Hovis) Hilliard. She was the widow of the late Kenneth L. Artman who passed in 2008. Phyllis was a 1956 graduate of Butler High School. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending her time with family and friends. Phyllis was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport and currently a member of Cross of Life Lutheran Church in Roswell. Phyllis is survived by her two sons, David B. Artman (Dianne Mattingly) of Roswell GA, Thomas A. (Mari Lynn) Artman of Lynchburg, VA; and her daughter, Susan L. Hersperger (Shayne Clardy) of Woodlands, TX; her 9 grandchildren: Kasey Hersperger, Alexandra Hersperger, Sarah Artman, Connor Clardy, Olivia Artman, Zackary Artman, Jake McCloskey, Shayna Clardy, and Shaylee Clardy. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Adam Artman. Family and friends will be received on Sunday Dec. 4th from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc., 524 High St. in Freeport. Funeral service will be held in Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport on Monday Dec 5th at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jocelyn Johnston officiating. Burial will be held in the Freeport Cemetery in Freeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Fifth St., Freeport, PA 16229.
