Shirley A. Swank, 79, of Sarver, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, while in the company of family, at Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot. Shirley was born Dec. 8, 1937, in Leechburg, the daughter of the late Ruth (Baker) and Francis C. Fiscus. Shirley was the widow of Stanley K. Swank, who passed in 2014. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley enjoyed reading, quilting and sewing. She was also a very talented seamstress. She had made wedding dresses, three-piece suits, and many keepsakes for her family. She had also worked for a number of years at Floral Designs Specialties in Sarver. Shirley is survived by her two sons, Theodore (Kimberly) Swank, of Washington, Pa., and Christopher (Amy) Swank, of Leechburg; her daughter, Pamela (Gary) Mainhart, of Front Royal, Va.; and daughter-in-law, Diane Swank, of Leechburg. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert (Matricia) Fiscus, of Indiana, Pa.; and William (Amy) Fiscus, of Athens, Ala. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Swank; and her sister, Bonnie Tressler. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport, with a funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held in Brookland Cemetery Leechburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
