Pauline R. Ashbaugh, 89, of S. Buffalo Twp., passed away on Tuesday, November 28th, at Armstrong Co. Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. Pauline was born in Natrona Heights, on March 23, 1928, a daughter of the late Lillie (Peppler) and Paul Stouffer.
She was a member of the South Buffalo Twp. Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary, and the oldest member of the Srader Grove United Presbyterian Church, joining in 1941.
Pauline was the head cook at South Buffalo Elementary for a number of years.
She enjoyed going to casinos, traveling, going out to eat and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayne E. Ashbaugh; her daughters, Carol (Tim) Beighley, of S. Buffalo Twp. and Jeanne (Dave) Lewis, of Allegheny Twp.; two sons Rick (Denise) Ashbaugh, of S. Buffalo Twp. and Jim (Tammy) Ashbaugh, of S. Buffalo Twp. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother William R. Stouffer.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 30th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1st with Rev. Robert Hindman officiating. Burial will be private.

We are so sorry to find out that Polly passed away. I think of her often and wished I had stopped to see her when I was in Freeport. She was a great person and friend. She will be missed.
