James K. Brink Sr., 73, of Allegheny Township, passed away peacefully, at his home with his family by his side, Thursday, March 8, 2018. Jim was born Aug. 3, 1944, in Cadogan. He was the son of the late Helen E. (Bennaman) and Arthur E. Brink. Jim had worked for many years as a truck driver. He drove for USFG Breemans in Leechburg and then for T and T Holland in Worthington. Jim had served in the Navy Reserves during Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of the Pollock Lodge No. 502 F and AM in Tarentum. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his six children, Tracy Kimmell, of Allegheny Township, Terri Shellhammer, of Slate Lick, Michael Brink, of Vandergrift, Mark Brink, of Butler; James K. Brink Jr., of Leechburg, and Caleb Brink, of Waterloo, N.Y.; he is also survived by five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Arthur E. "Ed" and Harriet Brink, of North Buffalo Township, and Robert L. and Leona Brink, of South Buffalo Township; two sisters, Barbara and Clair Shankle, of South Buffalo Township, and Joyce Brink, of Creighton; and his sister-in-law, Paulette Brink, of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas P. Brink Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, following the visitation, in the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Harvey, of Harvest Community Church-Freeport Campus, officiating.
