Growing up without cousins living nearby, the Slater family quickly filled that void. Marcella was my godmother but really was much more like an aunt. Her children: Patrick, Marcy, Colleen, and Mike were more like cousins than just friends of the family. I will always cherish the time our families spent together. Marcella was a very special lady and will be greatly missed.
