I was deeply saddened to hear about Joe’s passing. He was my assistant varsity soccer coach at Riverview High School, where he was well- liked by our players and did a tremendous job with our team. Joe was also a player for me with the Pittsburgh Strikers GPSL soccer team. My deepest sympathy goes to his family and friends. May his Memory be Eternal - I’ll miss you, my friend.

I met Joe through work at Horizon Information Services. He trained under me in the beginning
and we quickly became good friends. Joe and I were the A team. We worked so well together
and we would paired up for that reason. Countless trips out of town and a lot of time spent
together. There was nobody quite like Joe. He earned his nickname of " Joey Tids" because of all
the little useless tidbits of information he had. He would always make me drive and fall asleep on me. When I caught him he'd say " I'm just resting my eyes".
Rest your eyes buddy, you've earned it. You will be loved and missed by so many.
My sympathies to Ashlee, Arwin and Lucas. He was a great man

So sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I had never got to know him real well but I know he was a good man snd everyone that knew him thought so well of him. He will be greatly missed not only by your family but all the friends and acquaintances that knew him. May God comfort you in this great time of sorrow. One day there will be so sickness or death and God will make all things new. We all have the hope to look forward to that wonderful day when Jesus returns and we will all be reunited with our loved ones. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers.

Joey will be so missed. Remembering our chats about life in my office at Horizon. He always had a kind word and his saying was always “no worries “. He will always hold a special place for all of us at Horizon who had the chance to know him. Our prayers and big hugs go out to you Ashlee who was his rock and to Arwen and Lucas.

My deepest sympathy to all of his family and friends.
I know 1st hand how the loss of someone younger can take its toll on everyone. I'll be praying for peace and comfort in the days that follow. Life will continue but the loss will remain although I promise it will get easier and you'll get through this together.
