My mother(Constance Jansen) and myself are very sorry to be hearing of Jean’s passing. She was such a nice person and looked over my mom when she came to church, eventually bringing her Communion to her at home. Offering our deepest sympathy at this time.

What a sad day to realize I will never hear Jean’s laugh again. She was kind and funny and caring and the world was a much better place with her in it. She will be missed by many but none more than me. I will cherish the memories we shared and think of her often. No more pain Jeanie bean. I loved you so dear friend!

Al, Andrew and Michael I am so very sorry for your sudden loss. Jean was like my “Freeport Mom” always making sure I remember street sweeping, keeping me up to date on town events the kids might like and simply looking out for us. I’m going to miss her calling out to me through the porch window and sharing an evening laugh with me. Please let me know if you need anything, God Bless.

To Al and the Boys, we are so sorry for your loss, Jean was a beautiful person, although she was in pain a lot of times, you would never know it. She would honk the horn going by if she would see you out. We will miss her as a wonderful neighbor that she was. Sorry for your loss.

Dear Mr. Rupert, I met Jean when I worked at Freeport High School. And, I met her again when I became the Tax Collector. I found her to be a very likeable person and we always had nice conversations. I was not aware that she had health problems. My God bless you and your sons through this very sad time.
