May your happy memories of Jim live on in your hearts forever . He was an exceptional human being who always was quick to smile or help someone out. You could tell his one true love was his family especially the grandkids . We know he is in a better place even though it breaks the hearts of the ones he has left behind.Jim would always go out of his way to say a kind word to my mom(JOJO) well she is up there waiting to greet him. Freeport has lost an exceptional person.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Seagriff family on the loss of such a wonderful, kind, caring, thoughtful man. I've known your family my entire life growing up not far from your family on 2nd street. I never saw Him without a smile on his face and he never walked by without saying hi and asking how you were. When he served on council he did alot to help make Freeport a better place. So happy to have known him and he will never be forgotten. May God give you all the comfort and strength you need during this difficult time. God Bless you all!!

I send my hearfelt condolences to the family. Know that he is in a better place now and that whatever he past away from, that he now feels no pain or suffering. I understand that it is hard for the living since we're the ones who suffer thinking about our loved ones who have gone, but I believe that they are watching down upon us and are right by our side when we need comforted.

Ron Bennett

My sympathies to the Seagriff family. I had the pleasure meeting and working with Jim when I was president of the Butler-Freepport Trail Council. Through Jim's efforts the trail was completed for all to enjoy. Jim was a very dedicated public servant.

Patty Hauserman(Poston)

Sorry for your loss. Jim was a great guy

Paul and Cyndee O'Malley White

Dear Lida and family,

What fond memories we have of Jim and our years together as the FHS class of "71." Jim always had a smile on his face and could make you feel good just being in his company. While it has been many years since we have seen Jim, his picture speaks volumes of what a happy guy he was.

Take comfort in that Jim left behind a legacy of service to others in Freeport Borough, and in his work for the Steelworkers Union and A-L. What a great memory for a family to be able to look back on accomplishments such as Jim achieved. Well done, Jim! Rest in His eternal kingdom.

Sincerely,

Paul and Cyndee White

Very sorry for your loss! Your father was a great man and raised three terrific kids. You should all be so very proud of his contributions to our great little borough! Peace be with you.

Gaylene Quinn-Massart

My favorite memory is of Jim and the "Seagriff family" all sitting on the bleachers at FHS football games in the same seats they have had for years and years. I enjoyed watching him enjoy the game and family. My dad always loved having 'the Seagriff boys' at the games and that's who I always thought of him as "one of the Seagriff boys." I will miss him at the football games; it just won't be the same without him there. You have my deepest sympathy.
