Howard D. Felsing, Jr.

Howard D. Felsing, Jr. of Sarver, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 with his family gathered peacefully at his home. Howard was born in Natrona Heights on January 6, 1943, a son of the late Esther M. (McHenry) and Howard G. Felsing, Sr. Howard was a 1960 graduate of Freeport Area High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, he worked at Numec from 1963 to 1965. He then worked for Resco Products Inc. Tarentum. Howard worked there for the next 55 years. Howard loved playing and watching sports. He played competitive softball for 50 years. Pickelball, basketball, coach youth hockey and little league baseball. Howard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet B. (Beale) Felsing. whom he married in 1973. Two daughters, Tammy and Tom Lubresky, of Fawn Twp. Suzanne and Frank Abruscato, of Vineland, NJ, and son, Howard J. Felsing and Marla Green , of Brackenridge. His grandchildren, Leah Lubresky & JT Grahl, TJ Lubresky, Nick Lubresky and Amelia Abruscato. Howard is also survived by his sister, Linda and William Smith, of Newark, DE and his brother, George and Dee Felsing, of Sarver. Close friend, Francis "Junior" Curran He is preceded in death by his son, Andrew W, Felsing who passed in 2017. Family and friends will be received on Friday March 1st. from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport, PA. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday March 2nd. at 11 am with Pastor Matthew Goetz and Pastor Jonathan Troyer officiating. Burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park Lower Burrell, PA. Howard's family would like to thank the staff and nurses of PCU at Allegheny Valley Hospital for the exceptional care they provided during a very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania (PFWPA) 575 Lincoln Ave. Bellevue, PA 15202.
