Phyllis Grafton, 79, of Freeport, passed away on Wednesday, January 29th, while in the company of family members, at Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, in Cabot. Phyllis was born in McWilliams, PA on March 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Dorothy (Myers) Doverspike Hines and John Doverspike. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Phyllis was a past president and member of the Freeport VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends.

She is survived her children: daughter Vonnie (Jeff) Davis, of Birmingham, AL , son R.W. (Jodi) Grafton, Jr., of West Franklin, Twp., and daughter Darla (Ken) Buterbaugh, of South Buffalo Twp.; 7 grandchildren Jenny (Jason) Champion, Justin (Kat) Davis, Zane N. Grafton, Kris (Freddy) Webber, Nicole (Justin) Stanley, Bob (Samantha) Buterbaugh, Steve (Audi) Buterbaugh; 9 great grandchildren; her sister Marge (Thomas) McGuire, of Warren, OH. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Loretta Hunsburger and Coleen Klingensmith.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday February 1st form 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport. Funeral services will be held at Srader Grove United Presbyterian Church, 108 Srader Grove Rd. Freeport, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2nd, with Rev. Robert Hindman officiating. Burial will be private.
