Addison Wayne Brant, Jr., 65, of Freeport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 at his home. Wayne was born in Maysville, KY on June 11, 1947. He was the son of the late Martha C. (Lobaugh) and Addison W. Brant, Sr. Wayne was a graduate of Freeport High School and a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in communications with emphasis in Russian Linguistics. After graduation, he was drafted in to the US Army. Wayne was employed as a plant supervisor at Pennex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Verona for 29 years. Wayne had also work a number of years for the White Star Fraternal Society in Buffalo Twp. He loved to play golf and enjoyed shooting pool and doing puzzles. Wayne is survived by his ex wife, Bernice (Huff) Brant, his son, Addison Wayne Brant III, of Natrona Heights; step daughter Tracy Zinn, of Tarentum and his 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by his 2 sisters Susan Brant, of Carnegie, Mary Lee (Thomas) Nevitt, of Augusta, GA, 2 brothers Robert W. Brant, of South Buffalo Twp., Donald W. Brant, of Mogadore, OH. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lynette Brant and his 2 stepsons, Dale and Clyde Zinn

Family and friends will be received on Thursday February 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 am on Friday, March 1st, with Rev. James F. Neal officiating. Burial will be held in the Freeport Cemetery Freeport, PA.

He was a dear. He was so very proud of his grandchildren. That's all he talked about when I saw him at a class reunion. Time and distance mean nothing when you care about friends, and he was friend to many, both near and far. May all of his family be at peace, as he now is.
