Betty A. Risch, 87, of Buffalo Twp., passed away at 8:50 PM, Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 while in the company of family members at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Jefferson Twp.Mr. Risch was born in California, PA on July 22, 1920, the son of the late Hugh and Elizabeth (Andews) Gaines. She was the widower of Ralph M."Red" Risch who passed away in 2005He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church Sarver, PA Bear Creek Rd. Betty and her husband Red owned and operated Risch's Supermarket in Buffalo Twp, for 60 yearsShe was a member of the Eastern Star #453 since 1961. Betty enjoyed working and talking to all the people that came into their family grocery store. Betty is survived by her son, Gary (Diana) Risch, Sr. Her daughter, Robin (Robert) Fletcher, daughter-in-law, Linda Leah all of Buffalo Twp. A sister Jackie (Mike) Evans of Indianola. 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her son Hugh Leah, sister Norma Conte and a brother James Leckie.At the family's request there will be no public visitation Burial will be in the Lakewood Memorial Gardens Indiana Twp, PA.
