Kathryn L. Christie, 98, of Freeport, PA, passed away at 10:30 PM, Sunday, February 2nd, while in the company of family, at her residence. . Kathryn was born in South Buffalo Twp., on July 15, 1921, a daughter of the late Ruth (Kenner) and Park John Todd. She was the widow of Kenneth A. Christie, Sr. who passed in 2004. Kathryn was an avid reader, She enjoyed camping, gardening, cooking, baking and her coffee. Kathryn is survived by her four sons, Roger L. & Bink Christie, of Harvest, AL; Kenneth A. "Butch" & Judy Christie, Jr., of Williamston, MI; Brian T. Christie, of Slate Lick; David J. Christie, of South Buffalo Twp. Three daughters, Maxine K. Christie, of South Buffalo Twp.; Loretta A. & Calvin Willson, of Elmo, UT and Pamela D. Ray, of Tucson, AZ. 19 grand and 21 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mable Eible, Frances Shields and Suellen Walter. In addition to her husband and parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her son, Edward R. Christie. Brothers, John & George Todd and her sister, Dorothy Goehring. At the family's request there will be no public visitation. Burial will be held in Slate Lick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church 106 Brown Rd. Freeport, PA 16229

Sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I often think about herwhen I am headed up passed your way. She lived a long life. Prayers to all of you. She and mom are up talking over old times.

Butch and Family:
Oh the memories of gathering in the living room to just be ourselves and enjoy each others company. Many fond memories of Mom and Dad. This is all we have now (Memories) May we all relish the Love and Memories. We are truly sorry for your loss, and may Kate rest in Peace. Wow - some Great Times were had by all.

There is never the right time to lose your Mom. She was there when each of you took your first breath and she gave you her unconditional love all of your lives.
Treasure the blessing she was for each of you and thank God for the gift He gave you......and may He comfort you with His peace.
