Daniel Albanese, 67, of Lower Burrell, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Dan was born in Pittsburgh on August 15, 1953, a son of the late Yolanda "Vi" (Scatena) and Frank Albanese. Dan worked for over 30 years with the Teamsters, Local 249 in Pittsburgh until his retirement in the early 2000's. After his retirement with the Teamsters, he owned and operated a real estate business in Bloomfield. Dan was a lifelong Steelers fan and his family has had season tickets since 1969. Dan was able to attend 4 of the 6 winning Steelers SuperBowls and was at the game when the Immaculate Reception took place. He enjoyed all Pittsburgh sports and was very proud of his City of Champions. Dan was an active member of Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver for over 30 years and he was not afraid to tell people what Christ had done in his life. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, his Aunt and Uncle Rose & Clarence "Art" Murdy who raised him, and a brother, Richard "Dickie" Albanese. Family and friends will be received on Thursday December 10th from 3:00-7:00 and Friday December 11th from 5:00-6:00 at Evangel Heights Assembly of God 120 Beale Rd. in Sarver. Lorna and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. Danny and Skip both worked for me at Serta back in the late 80's and early 90's. Danny was a wonderful, pleasant soul and a really hard worker. I could always rely on both Danny and Skip not only on a daily basis, but they would regularly get me out of delivery jams! I knew I not only had a great employee in Danny (and Skip) but a great friendship when he invited me to your wedding. Danny always let me know how lucky he was to be alive because of his love of God and family. He will be missed. May he rest in peace. May you all have the will and strength to carry on at this difficult time. Please pass my condolences on to Skip.

My heart weeps with you as I pray for you. My prayer is: May God grant you the spaces you need to mourn, to tell your story again and again in the company of others. May there be people in the coming weeks and months and years who participate in Christ's ministry of healing to you by providing such a space where you can be seen and heard without judgment.
Sending our love and prayers to you as we stand with you over the miles as you walk your grief journeys.

To the Albanese family. I truly am sorry for your loss. I just had met Dan in April of 2020. And he was very nice to me and my family and helped us out renting to us. I am just in shock and have a lot of sadness. Rest in peace Dan.

Lorna & daughters ~ I’m so very sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. I understand the pain and am praying that God will bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Time truly eases some of the heartache, and you will come to lean on the wonderful memories of the great guy that Dan was. Our trip to Philly many, many years ago when the two of you started your romance sticks out in my mind. Dan was a kind and gentle man and will be missed by many I’m sure. Sending you hugs and sincere sympathy.
Love, Amy Stivason
