Walter P. Jack, Sr., 91, of Buffalo Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. Walter was born in Natrona Heights, PA on December 16, 1929, a son of the late Grace (Elliott) and James Jack. He was the widower of Carole J. (Ekas) Jack who had just passed on April 9th of this year. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Walter came back to the Valley and took a job as a sinerator machine operator at US Steel plant in Saxonburg. After the steel plant closed in the late 80's, Walter worked at Freeport Lawn & Garden, Butler Auto Auction and for Diehl Auto in Butler. Walter is a life member of the Pollock Lodge #502 in Tarentum. Walter enjoyed going to his camp in Franklin, making stained glass, bicycling, doing word search puzzles and spending time with his family. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport Walter is survived by his five children; Cathi Cooper, of Buffalo Twp.; Paula Cline, of Buffalo Twp.; Walter Jack, Jr. of Pittsburgh; Jay Jack, of Freeport and David Jack, of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kim Cooper, Jack (Lorraine) Cooper, Steven Cooper, Matt (Seaneen) Cline, Chelsea Cline, Danielle (John) Nagurney, Daria (fiance Matt Price) Jack & Sean (Lindsay Wolfe) Jack. 7 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Walter is preceded in death by his son in law, Fred Cline, his brother, Donald Jack and his sister, Dorothy Jack. At the family's request there will be no public visitation . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rails-to-Trails Conservancy 2121 Ward Ct., NW, 5th Floor Washington, DC 20037.

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing and so soon after your Mom. I know some of what you are going through my parents passed 4 months apart in the last 5 months. May your memories be a great source of comfort.

My deepest sympathies to Cathi, Paula, and the Jack family. Enjoyed all my conversations with your dad especially over the “burn barrel.” Your mom and dad were great neighbors. Prayers for you.
