Anna Marie Himes, 87, of S. Buffalo Twp., passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Anna Marie was born in Boggsville, on August 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Grace (Streightiff) and Martin Gaiser. She was a 1956 graduate of Freeport Area High School. She was the wife of Howard Himes. whom she married on January 11, 1958, and recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Anna Marie was employed at Allegheny Valley Hospital and HealthSouth (formerly Harmarville Rehab Center) in the medical records department. She was an active member of Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder, Deacon, Clerk of Session, sung in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was also a past Moderator of Presbyterian Women for Presbytery of Kiskminetas. Anna Marie enjoyed hosting every family event since 1963 in their home. In addition to her husband, Anna Marie is survived by her children, Karen (Mark Walker) Himes, Bob (Lisa) Himes, Tom (Regina) Himes, and Patty (Larry) Burdett. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley (James) Wang, Jenny (AJ) Vidra, Krista (William Jr.) Potter, Carly (Donald Erdner) Burdett; great grandchildren, Henry & Isaac Wang and William Potter, III; sister-in-law Catherine Himes and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Simpson and brothers, Dick and Bill Gaiser, and brothers-in-law, Chuck and Ken Himes. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday April 21, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church. 106 Brown Road Freeport PA. Visitation will continue on Wednesday April 22, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am in Slate Lick Presbyterian Church with Pastor John Tirpak officiating. A private family burial will follow in Slate Lick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church 106 Brown Rd. Freeport, PA 16229.
