Anthony T. Lentz

Anthony T. Lentz, 83, of Tarentum, passed way Saturday, May 24, 2025. Anthony was born in Tarentum, on January 23, 1942, a son of the late Dorothy (Binder) and Howard T. Lentz. He was the widower of Darlene (Montgomery) Lentz, who passed away in 2020. Anthony served in the U.S. Navy onboard the USS Independence during the Vietnam War. He was a steelworker at Allegheny Ludlum in Brackenridge. He later went on to work as a truck driver for several OTR trucking companies in the area. He attended Harvest Baptist Church in Natrona Heights. He enjoyed dancing and going to the casino. Anthony is survived by two sons Timothy (Catherine) Lentz, of Gilpin Twp. and Howard "Doubs" (Jodie) Lentz, of East Vandergrift. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, his sister Alice Kayuha, of San Diego, CA, and his fiancé Sandra Gaskell, of Tarentum. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded by his daughter Toni Marie McConnell, granddaughter Darlene Lentz and great granddaughter Bailey Lentz. There will be no public visitation. A private family graveside service will be held in Mt. Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital 600 Waterfront Dr #210 Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
