Barbara J. Ravotti, 88, of Freeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family. Barb was born in Leechburg, PA on June 5, 1933, the only child of the late Marion (Hopkins) and Dominic Anselmo. She was employed as a Coordinator at Area on Aging for Armstrong Co. and ran the Freeport Area Senior Center for many years. She had also worked as a machine operator at the Double Delta Machine Shop in Leechburg. For many years Barbara ran the Ravotti’s Restaurant in Freeport. Barb was a member of the White Star Club in Freeport. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, fishing and going out dancing with her husband. Her greatest love was her family and she never missed any of her grandchildren's sporting activities. Barb was the kindest women with a generous heart of gold, never hesitating to help people out. Barbara is survived by her husband of 70 years, Mario Ravotti, Jr. who she met at a dance in Leechburg and he won her heart after B9 was called. Her two sons Timothy & Janice Ravotti and Thomas & Meredith Ravotti, all of New Kensington. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Holli (Sean) McAtee, Kylie Bibza (Jimmy McGuire), Jessica (Jorge) Rojas, Kristen (Kurt) Knott, Cori Ravotti and Isabella Carabin. Her great grandchildren, Edward, Allee, Seano, George, Samantha, Abigail, McKenna, Elena, Leo and Kade. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 11th from 6-9 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, May 12th at St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport, PA with Father Edward Volz OSP officiating. Burial will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Freeport.
