Betty J. (Yard) Stearns

Betty J. Stearns, 96, of Freeport, passed away on Monday, July 31st, at her residence. Betty was born in Venango County, on December 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Arzonia (Montgomery) and Elmer Yard.  She was a florist in the local area for over 20 years. She enjoyed crafts and adult coloring books. Betty is  survived by her grandson Scott & Betty Fitzgerald, of Freeport;  great grandchildren Jesse & Nikki McIntyre, of South Buffalo Twp., and Deborah McIntyre, of Lower Burrell; and great great grandsons Tanner & Trenton McIntyre. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur, second husband Floyd Whitehouse, third husband Richard Stearns, her daughter Carol Whitehouse, 8 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. A private family burial will be held in Clintonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freeport Food Bank 312 High St. Freeport, PA 16229
