Brian Crabill Obituary

Brian L Crabill, 58, of Hyde Park, originally of Freeport, passed away in the wonderful care of McLeod Heath in Loris South Carolina on Saturday July 19 2025, while on his last vacation surrounded by his loving wife, daughter, sister who lives down there, and (as per Brian’s approval) his future son-in-law. Brian was born in Natrona Heights on July 1st 1967, a son of the late Richard and Donna (Sarver) Crabill. Brian was a graduate of Freeport High School and attended Lenape Vo-Tech for auto body repair. Brian loved working on cars, and that led him to his job repairing wheelchairs for about 15 years, at Blackburn's Pharmacy in Tarentum. Brian always loved helping people and would always go out of his way to do so. Brian was also a loyal member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Tarentum. Brian was also an avid Hot Wheels collector, Godzilla fan, and a forever loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brian is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan (VanTine) Crabill and his daughter Briana Crabill (Christian Shugart), both of Hyde Park. Also, his three sisters Terri (Kevin) Wolfe of Freeport, Shelly (Eric) Busch of Loris, South Carolina, and Joy (Ed) Lang of Freeport. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews both by blood and extended along with great nieces and nephews as well. He was Uncle Brian to all. Brian was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Donna Crabill; his nephew Kevin Tyler Wolfe; along with several aunts and uncles on both sides. As per Brian’s request the services are private, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. We ask you to keep up with the Facebook Group created by Briana for information on that. Brian fought long and hard fighting liver cancer that led to non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis that eventually took his life. In lieu of flowers we ask everyone to go and get their liver checked.
