Brian D. Zeppuhar, 56, of Freeport, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Brian was born in Pittsburgh, on December 26, 1968, a son of the late Mary Lou (Gatesman) and Robert J. Zeppuhar.
Brian was a proud graduate of Shaler High School and the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He built a successful career in medical sales, working with several companies throughout his professional life.
A devoted member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport, Brian was also deeply committed to his community. He served as President of the Freeport Little League and the Freeport Baseball Boosters, and he devoted countless hours to leading and coaching his sons’ baseball teams.
He enjoyed biking, golfing, and snow skiing, as well as relaxing at his vacation home in Indian Lake where he spent time boating. A loyal Pitt fan, he especially cherished attending and watching Pitt games.
He was the beloved husband of Robin (Marhefka) Zeppuhar, who he married October 9, 1993. Brian is survived by two sons Zachary Robert (fiancé, Emily) Zeppuhar, of Akron, OH and Zane Jacob Zeppuhar, of Monroeville. Brian is also survived his siblings, Bobby (Katie) Zeppuhar of Allison Park, Mark Zeppuhar of Etna, Alan (Jane) Zeppuhar of Allison Park, Mary Beth Belsito of Wexford, Joe (Angelene) Zeppuhar, of Cocoa Beach, FL and Jan (Jim) Wagner of Valencia.
He is also survived by his in laws, Robert and Patti Marhefka of Indian Lake, PA, brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Chris) Marhefka of Windber, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 8, 2025 from 4-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Freeport, with Reverend Richard J. Kosisko, JCL officiating.
