Calvin D. Smith

Calvin D. Smith, 66, of Freeport, PA formerly of Harwick, died Thursday, January 23, 2025 at his home. He was born May 9, 1958 in Natrona Heights, PA and is the son of Donald L. Smith and the late Vera (Spencer) Varos. Calvin went to the College of DuPage as a certified Pastry Chef and Food Inspector in the state of Illinois. He also was the Night Manager and Head Cook at Waffle House in Georgia most recently working at Walmart. He enjoyed cooking, collecting diecast cars, music, electronics, and he also loved sports, watching the Steelers and Pirates.  He was proceeded in death by his stepmother, Nancy M. Smith and is survived by brothers Jeffery W. Smith of Cheswick, Bryan of Kentucky, and Norman from Texas, and his sisters, Kimmy McKrell of Natrona Heights and Cindy McKrell of Harwick. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
