Carol Lee Betush, 77, of Natrona Heights, PA passed away peacefully on February 27, 2021 at Arden Courts of Jefferson Hills. Carol was born in South Buffalo Twp., Armstrong Co, on May 2, 1943, a daughter of the late Frances I. (Sweeney) Fester-Hesselgesser and Leslie R. Fester. Carol was a 1961 graduate of Freeport High School. She worked at Magnetics in Butler, PA for 19 years before moving to Maryland for 25 years. She moved back to Natrona Heights to retire in her home she so cherished with her miniature poodle Patches whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed cooking and canning, traveling with friends and family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and a crossword puzzle wiz. Carol had a green thumb and loved working in her yard and tending to her beautiful gardens that were enjoyed by many. In addition, spending time with friends and family were very important, especially her grandchildren. For many years she made plans with her grandchildren to travel and enjoy time together. Carol is survived by her son, Scott (Tracy) Betush of Tarentum, PA, daughter, Leslie (Duane) Carey, of Glen Burnie, MD. Her grandchildren, Latoyia Carey, Mary Renee Pfeiffer, Kasey Betush, Zackery Carey, Cody Betush, Cameron Betush, Carolee Erb and Kira Owens and 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol is also survived by her brother, Dennis L. (Sally) Fester, of Buffalo Twp. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Frances (Frankie) Neale, Donna Hadden and her first husband Edward Betush who passed in 1988. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday March 2, 2021 from 2 to 5pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport, PA. Funeral services are private and the burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
