Charles David Ehrman, 75, of Brackenridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022 while surrounded by his family, at his home. Dave was born in Natrona Heights on November 24, 1946, a son of Carrie E. (Kurn) Ehrman, of Sarver, and the late Frank N. Ehrman. Dave was a 1964 graduate of Tarentum High School. He was drafted into the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. Dave was a Purple Heart recipient. Dave received his honorable discharge from active duty an remained in the Army Reserves for an additional 5 years. After his service to his country, Dave returned to the Valley and took a job as a lab technician at ATI Steel in Brackenridge, where he worked 30 years. Dave was an active member of Evangel Heights Church in Buffalo Twp. He was a member of the Natrona Heights VFW. He was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to his camp and spending time with his grand kids. Dave is survived by his Mother, Carrie E. (Kurn) Ehrman, of Sarver. His wife of 23 years, Kathie (VanDyke) Ehrman. Two daughters, McKay (Kevin) Roberts, of Fawn Twp. and Linnea (Eric) Smith, of London, KY; Three sons, Kye (Brittany) Ehrman, of Brackenridge; Chip (Rose) Wagner, of South Buffalo Twp.; David (Brigette) Wagner, of Auburndale, FL. Grandchildren, Brayden, Shawna, Caleb, Hannah, Faith, Hope & Eric. Great Grandchildren, Lorelai, Ryker, Skylar & Elliot. Dave is also survived by his brother, Robert (Marilee) Ehrman, of Sarver and his cousin, Jeff (Karen) Ehrman of Cabot. In addition to his father, Dave is preceded by his cousin, Heather "Heddy" Ehrman Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 10th from 12-2 & 4-6 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport, PA. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 11th at Evangel Heights Church in Sarver, with Pastor Nate Watkins officiating. Burial will be held in Sarverville Cemetery Sarver, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
