Charles J. Hill, 95, of South Buffalo Twp., passed away peacefully, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at his residence. Charles was born in New Brighton, on July 5, 1930, a son of the late Anna Mae (Nolf) and Grant B. Hill. He was the widower of Naomi Violet Hill, who passed away in 1986. He was drafted and served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport and was a past member of Grace Community U.P. Church in Lower Burrell and West Minister U.P. Church in New Kensington. He was a trimmer at Allegheny Ludlum in Brackenridge, for 23 years. Charles was a member of the Tyrian Lodge No.644 F.&A.M in New Kensington and a member of the Syrian Shriners in Cheswick. He was an assistant scout master with the Boy Scouts in Lower Burrell. Charles enjoyed bird watching and conservation.
Charles is survived by his son Kenneth R. Hill, of Virginia Beach, VA; three daughters, Linda H. Vaccaro, of Jeannette, Heather Ann (Mike) Dittman, of Marienville, and
Sara Leigh (Garry) Whitling, of Natrona Heights. He is also survived by grandchildren, Rochelle Whitling, Phillip Dittman, and Christian (Ashley) Vaccaro, and great granddaughter Emma Lynn Vaccaro.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Hill, sister Donna Mae Holley and son-in-law Paul J. Vaccaro II.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 21st from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Truscott officiating.
