Clara M. (Gorgas) Bradley, 84, of Freeport, passed away on Monday, February 26th, at her residence. . Clara was born in South Huntington Twp., on October 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Margaret Pearl (Shandorf) and John Bryan. She was the widow of Charles A. Gorgas, Sr. who passed away in 1987. She had worked at the Renshaw Farms for 20 years and later worked at the McDonald's in Natrona Heights for 20 years. She enjoyed word search puzzles and crocheting. Clara is survived by three daughters, Kathy Gorgas, of York, Gloria (Mike) DeMeno, of Freeport; and Betty (Scott) Fitzgerald, of Freeport; four sons, Thomas A. Gorgas, of Tarentum; David Lee Gorgas, of South Buffalo Twp.; Richard M. "Butch" Gorgas, of New Kensington, and Kevin W. Gorgas, of South Buffalo Twp,; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with 2 on the way. She is also survived by 4 sisters. Besides her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her son Charles A. Gorgas, Jr, 6 brothers, 5 sisters and her daughter-in-law Stephanie Gorgas. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 28th from 3-5 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. in Freeport. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 5 p.m. with Pastor Corey Dally officiating. A private family burial will be held in McVille Union Cemetery in Freeport, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freeport Food Bank 312 High St. Freeport, PA 16229.
