It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie (Stokes) Pomrenke. She was born in Natrona Heights, PA on May 9, 1945, to Mary (Campbell) Hershey of Sugar Creek Twp., and the late, William Brady Stokes. After a long battle with cancer, Connie spent her last days surrounded by her family. She went home to heaven on Friday, December 8, 2023. Connie has joined her love and companion of 34 years, Bill Stobert, who passed away in December 2022. She is survived by her mother and brother William and Linda Stokes; 6 children, Lisa and Dave Clark, William and Christine Clark III, Sean and Serena Clark, Rachelle and Ron Jones, Eric Clark, and Jamie and Grant Walter.
16 grandchildren, Justyne, Joshua, Kierrie, Cody, Colton, Caleb, Bailey, Cameron, William, Shona, Gage, Jrake, Aiden, Mia, Ava, and Lincoln. 10 great-grandchildren, Neva, Jaxon, Kai, Lilian, Ryla, Leighton, London, Kensley, Cayden, and Brody. Connie was a 1963 graduate of Freeport High School and she received her registered nurse degree from West Penn School of Nursing. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and her grand kids.
Connie Louise (Stokes) Pomrenke left behind her a legacy of families that will mourn her absence and cherish her memories for generations.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 11th from 5-8 pm in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport.
