Daniel L. Spangler, 66, of Sarver passed away in the company of family and friends on Friday, April 17th following a brief illness.
Dan was the owner of Superior Interiors in Sarver and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles and ATVs, watching sports and woodworking. While Dan never married, he was seen as a father figure for most of the children of his family and friends. He often built furniture, remodeled homes, and provided employment for them. Dan was a former volunteer fireman and an officer for Sarver Volunteer Fire Company and continued supporting the fire service by renovating areas within Buffalo Twp Volunteer Fire Company. Dan was always there to lend a hand or offer suggestions when friends and family needed help. He will leave a large void in many lives.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Catherine (Toots) Spangler.
He is survived by brother Edwin and Tammy (James) Spangler, brother Gary and Melinda (Koc) Spangler, niece, Andria (Haven) and Tim Henry, nephew Cody and Sara (McCrea) Spangler, nephew, Patrick and Sarah (Tompkins) Spangler, and nephew, Nicholas and Raeanne (Wohlfarth) Spangler.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High Street, Freeport. A blessing service will follow at 8 pm at the funeral home.
Private interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Freeport.
