Darla J. Lauschus, 71, of South Buffalo Twp. passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, while in the company of family, at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Harmar Twp. Darla was born in New Kensington, on February 28, 1951, a daughter of the late Jean (McClelland) Friesel and William Hamilton. Darla was a housekeeper and was a dedicated caregiver for many friends and their family members. She also worked as an aid at Mason Manor and at the WelMart Bp in Buffalo Twp. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. But most of all her greatest love was her grandchildren. She chose to spend her time sharing it with them or telling stories about them. She was a “Nana” who became their biggest confidant. Darla is survived by her husband of 47 years, Emil Fred. Lauschus, Jr. Her children, Nathaniel Lauschus & Kate Slavik, of Slippery Rock, PA; Kristen & Mike Kearney, of Allegheny Twp. and Melissa & Sam Devlin, of South Buffalo Twp. She is also survived by grandchildren, Donovin and Maliea Lauschus, Arianna, Samantha and Declan Devlin and step grandchildren, Merrick and Monroe Long. She is preceded in death by her parents, William & Dorothy Hamilton and Jean and Milton Friesel and her brother, Robert "Bobby" Hamilton. Family and friends will be received on 5 to 8 on Friday, March 4th, in the Redmond Funeral Home Inc. 524 High St. in Freeport. The funeral service will be held at 8pm on Friday evening at in the funeral home with Pastor Seth McClymonds, Jr. of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver officiating.
