David S. Copeland, 60, of Cowansville, passed away Friday, November 29th, at Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing, Kitttanning. David was born in Natrona Heights on September 5, 1964, to Ronald Copeland and Joyce (Helgert) Copeland. David was a 1982 graduate of Freeport High School. He worked at Oberg as a floor manager and then went on to work at Bergad Specialty Foams in the maintenance department. He was an active member of the Hilltop Beagle Club, Inc. and the Burnt Ridge Sportsmans Club, where he taught the youth archery group. In addition to training beagles, which was his passion, he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Copeland of Sarver, his daughter, Sarah Copeland of Freeport, a son, Joseph Copeland of Redmond, OR, two brothers, Mark (Donna) Copeland of Fawn Twp. and Jeffrey (Shannon) Copeland of Phoenix, AZ, and his companion, Christine Witenski of Cowansville. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. Memorial donations may be made to the Hilltop Beagle Club, Inc., or the Burnt Ridge Sportsman Club, 493 Ridge Road, Cowansville, PA 16218.
