David B. Dillen, 70, of Freeport, passed away Tuesday, May 25th, at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Harmar. Dave was born in New Kensington , on January 23, 1951, a son of the late Ida (Reynolds) and Bruce Dillen. He was the widower of Carole F. (Krampholz) Dillen, who passed away in 2005. He was a 1970 graduate of Freeport High School. Dave served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After the war, he received his Associates Degree from the Antonelli School of Photography in Philadelphia. He was the owner of J&R Print Shop in West Tarentum for over 10 years. Later, he was a security guard at Westinghouse in Cranberry before retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Freeport VFW and Freeport Eagles. Dave was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved cats. He is survived by his son, Chad R. Dillen, of Freeport, and his sister, Patricia A. Dillen, of Freeport. Family and friends will be received on Thursday May 27th from 3-7 p.m. in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc. 524 High St. Freeport. A private family burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery, Freeport.
