On August 18, 2021, David Andrew Harding completed his tour of duty on earth after a valiant and courageous fight against kidney cancer for over 2 years. He has now accepted his next assignment of spending eternity with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. His love of God, family & country was the motivation for how he lived his life. David was a gentle, kind, loving man who looked for the good in everyone he met & knew. He was always ready to help where needed, even putting aside his own needs. He loved, honored, respected and cherished his wife, Mary Ann Sutara Harding, of 22 years. Together they chose to make the Lord the center of their lives & marriage & the blessings of the Lord made them rich in every facet of their daily time together. His love for his daughter Stephanie and her husband Randy Stivenson & their children Hannah & Darius; Daughter Renee & her husband Jobert Calimlim & their children Kitana & Mileena filled his heart & life with love, pride & joy. He embraced with love his wife's sons: Michael Welling & his wife Rae & their children Brooke & Cameron; Benjamin Welling & his wife Helene & their children Raylen, Reiker, Journey, Lyric & Shyler. He treasured each grandchild as a special gift from God & had a unique, loving relationship with each. They all loved their "Pappy Dave" & how he was always doing silly things with them to amuse them! David was born April 4, 1945 to Owen & Ann Suchanyc Harding. David is survived by two brothers, Paul and Michael and two sisters, Geraldine and Cindy. Also surviving are many nephews and nieces. He had an extraordinary relationship with his nephew, Rev.David Shortt, whom he treated lovingly as a son. David graduated from Tarentum High School in 1964. He went on to serve his country with great pride, honor and respect with the US Marine Corp, serving in various capacities and combat in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged. He then worked for and retired from PPG Paints in Cheswick, PA. At David's request there will be no viewing. There will be a private family celebration of his life at a later date. Dave is lovingly remembered by family & friends for his answer to the question of how are you with, "If I'd be any better, I'd be in heaven!" To celebrate David's life, he would encourage all to "Do as Jesus would do!" Make the most of every opportunity to love, serve and minister to everyone who comes across your life's paths. He would want you to know that Jesus loves you so much that He died for our sins so we all can spend eternity with Him. David would encourage you to make the most of every moment and to treasure those around you. Finally he would want you to know he loves you!
