David R. Hidinger, 83, of Freeport, passed away on Monday, September 23rd, at Quality Life Services in Sarver. Dave was born in Kittanning, on June 7, 1941, a son of the late Evelyn (Bowser) and Roscoe Hidinger. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for various businesses in the area. Dave was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Kittanning. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cutting firewood and spending time with his family. Dave is survived by two sons David A. (Mary) Hidinger, of Freeport and Scott (Chris) Hidinger, of Newark, DE; and a daughter, Susan (Jeff) Swiklinski of Buffalo Twp. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eunice M. "Tippy" Hidinger and his daughter Marsha Hidinger At Dave's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave's name to a charity of one's choice.
