Deborah Rugh Obituary

Deborah L. Rugh, 70, of Leechburg, passed peacefully away Friday, January 30, 2026, at UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born in New Kensington on June 7, 1955, a daughter of the late Olive C. (Livengood) and James D. Rugh, Sr. Debbie was a 1974 graduate of Kiski High School. She attended Truxel Church in Apollo. She enjoyed bingo, baking, fishing and camping. She survived by her loving daughters, Shera J. Arner of Leechburg and Olive Bota of Tennessee, her grandchildren, Drake Long, Zane Long, Alvie Eshelman II, Scarlette Arner, Dustin Rugh, Merle Waldenville, Bethany Waldenville, Mason Arner and Brayden Arner and great grandson, Oliver Nabors. She is also survived by her siblings, James D. (Doreen) Rugh Jr. of New Kensington, Elizabeth Wheeler of Kittanning, John W. (Mary) Rugh of Vandergrift, Tammy Rugh of West Leechburg and Margaret (Russell) Fountain of Spring Church, her beloved cat, Freckles, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Friends will be received on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High Street, Freeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to local fire halls in honor of her love for bingo: Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company, 268 Canal Street, Leechburg, PA 15656, and Gilpin Township Volunteer Fire Company, 113 Fire Hall Road, Leechburg, PA 15656.
