Doris Jean Bollinger, 94, of Freeport, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Doris was born in Freeport, on January 27, 1932, a daughter of the late Della (Booher) and Roland O. Cornman. She was the widow of Harry E. Bollinger, who passed away in 2016. She was a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, going to dances at the Freeport VFW (where she met her husband) and playing Bingo at the Willow's Senior Care Center.
Doris is survived by her children, James (Stacy) Bollinger, of Freeport, Cheryl (Curtis) Sutton, of Alexandria, TN, Kenneth (Paula) Bollinger, of Freeport, Lori (Scott) Hetrick, of Kittanning, and Marlene (Joe) Rowley, of Freeport. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Marty (Sue) Bollinger, Misty (Steve) Kukic, Justin (Kiesha) Reed, Matt (Helen) Bollinger, Nadine (Josh) Mentzell, Jeramie (Amanda) Reed, Leah (Bruce Liptak) Hetrick, Amber (Cody) Schaub, Owen Rowley and Carson Rowley; great grandchildren, Ashley, Sean, Aidan, James, Judy, Waylon, Jamie, Decker, Romalie, Miles, Eleanor and Locie; great great grandchildren, Noelle, Ember, and Emersyn.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Robert, Thomas and James Cornman, and sisters, Mary Belle McGuire, Rosetta DiGiacobbe, and Betty Lou Mohney.
There will be no public visitation. A private family visitation and service will be held with burial in McVille Union Cemetery.
